Social responsibility
Children are our future – which is why we've made it our mission to bring joy to children, especially those in need, several times a year as part of various projects.
Getting things done for a good cause!
Once a year, we swap our desks for screwdrivers, shovels or brushes as part of a Corporate Volunteering Day. Our team's involvement in schools, kindergartens and playgrounds is part of a long-term programme of commitment that is anchored in our corporate philosophy. Whether it's a matter of painting walls, doing carpentry, laying flooring, making flower beds or playing with children, we take on every challenge for a good cause.
The Board of Management is very happy to support the voluntary commitment of our team. Being able to make a difference together is a great thing.

Charity project
Every year on the last day of the Spielwarenmesse, children's dreams come true thanks to an alliance with SOS Children's Villages and the large quantity of donations from our exhibitors.
The toys donated ultimately end up in non-residential children's and youth facilities of the SOS Children's Villages in Germany as well as in day-care centres, schools or social institutions in the Nuremberg metropolitan region, where the toys can achieve their true purpose of making children's eyes light up with delight.
If you also wish to make children's eyes sparkle, then you are welcome to join in our donation programme. Please contact Mr Roland Happel for more details.
For donors
Are you an exhibitor at Spielwarenmesse and would like to donate your exhibits to a good cause? Then read our flyer in your welcome folder at the fair. Leave this flyer with your exhibits on the last day of the fair and our team will then personally collect the donations from your stand.
Many thanks in advance! We and especially the children are happy to receive all your donations!
Christmas campaign
Christmas is the best time of the year. Spielwarenmesse eG is participating in the "Christmas in a shoe box" campaign in cooperation with the Nuremberg Youth Migration Service to ensure that children in need also get to feel the joy of Christmas. In the run-up to Christmas, employees will be packing boxes with presents, thus making the hitherto unattainable Christmas wishes of many children now come true.
Our commitment to the culture of play
Since 2010, Nuremberg has been home to the German Games Archive, a unique collection of games from all over the world. Spielwarenmesse eG supports the running of the archive with knowledge and networks. As part of the advisory board, we are actively involved in expanding it into a games centre.
